Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Now Hiring: Electric Lineperson / Utility Worker

 

City of Tyler, MN
Pay: $24–$26/hour • Full-Time, Non-Exempt

 

The City of Tyler is seeking a skilled Electric Lineperson / Utility Worker to help maintain and repair the city’s electrical systems, substations, and power lines. This position also supports other city utilities, including water, wastewater, and streets.

 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with on-call rotation.

 

Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate degree in Power Line Technology or equivalent experience
  • Completed or willing to complete an apprenticeship or MMUA program
  • Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Tyler resident preferred (Due to On call rotation)

 

Preferred: Line worker certification, municipal utility experience, and a clean safety record.
